Terms of Service

These terms govern your use of Tacit (the "Service"), provided by ALPHAPEAK LIMITED. By using Tacit, you agree to them.

1. The Service

Tacit is a native macOS application that, when you press its hotkey, reads the active window and generates paste-ready text at your cursor. The Service is provided on a subscription basis and is offered as-is, with features that may change over time as the product develops.

2. Subscriptions and billing

Paid plans are sold on a recurring subscription. All payments are processed by Paddle, which acts as the merchant of record for your purchase. Your subscription renews automatically at the then-current price for your plan until cancelled. You can cancel at any time, and cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.

Every new account begins with a 14-day Pro trial that requires no credit card. If you do not subscribe, the account moves to the Free plan at the end of the trial.

3. Refunds

You may request a refund within 14 days of a charge. Refunds are handled by Paddle in accordance with its buyer terms; because Paddle is the merchant of record, refund requests and billing enquiries are processed through Paddle. Contact [email protected] and we will direct you.

4. Acceptable use

You agree to use Tacit lawfully and not to:

  • use the Service to create unlawful, infringing, deceptive, or harmful content;
  • attempt to reverse-engineer, resell, or circumvent access controls or usage limits of the Service;
  • interfere with or place unreasonable load on the Service or its providers; or
  • use the Service in violation of the rights of others or applicable law.

We may suspend or terminate access for material or repeated breach of these terms.

5. Availability and changes

We aim to keep the Service available and reliable, but it may be unavailable from time to time for maintenance, updates, or reasons beyond our control. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue features, and will give reasonable notice of material changes where practicable.

6. Warranty disclaimer

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. Tacit generates text automatically and you are responsible for reviewing any output before you use it. To the fullest extent permitted by law, ALPHAPEAK LIMITED is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service.
